I am writing to request assistance with performing administrative tasks on my server. My current user account does not have the necessary permissions to execute the following actions:
- Installing Python packages using
pip - Configuring and installing software from source
- Editing system configuration files
Specifically, I need to:
- Install Python 3.9.7 and its dependencies (including OpenSSL) from source.
- Install the
psd-toolsPython package.
Could you please grant my user account temporary root access or assist in performing these tasks?

Anyway,what course have you signed up for?
If you are using the Xserver rental server service, please note that users are not granted administrative (root) privileges. This means you won’t be able to use the sudo command to perform administrative tasks.
Should you need to perform operations that require administrative privileges, you might want to consider using a service like Xserver VPS, which does provide such privileges.
With Xserver VPS, you would have the necessary permissions to perform these tasks and more.
